This is a late January scene. from the trail head to Cataract Falls in Marin on a clear day after rains. San Francisco is a mirage, there is Bay Bridge, Alcatraz and the Golden Gate in the distant blue. Thanks to the topography of the Bay Area, you get these unexpected views. |

Golden Hour on Haleakala

California Timeless
26" x 20 1/2" (66 x 52 cm) Wool, yarn, embroidery thread The Portola Expedition came in 1769, not that long ago, and stood on Pillar Point and Sweeny Ridge looking over the land that at the time only had Indian names. Close to urban areas there are many places that look untouched by time. The rolling hills of California are one of the many landscapes to be found here. sold |
